Hotel Lady
An authentic old-fashioned pensione, the Hotel Lady is cosy and warm. All the rooms are slightly different and even if they're small they're pleasantly decorated with rustic furniture. The jolly owner and his wife don't speak English, but will merrily chat to you in Italian.
As you enter the 4th-floor reception you'd be forgiven for thinking you'd walked into the owner's private living room. The beige carpet, low wood-beamed ceiling, framed prints and antique furniture give the impression of a well-to-do home where tea's taken at four and one dresses for dinner. Of the rooms, numbers 4 and 6 are particularly attractive with their original wood-beamed ceilings. The others are more modest with little overt decoration - walls are white and furniture is kept to a minimum. Most don't have en suites, but all have a sink and some have a shower; shared bathrooms are modern and clean. Breakfast costs 10.00 extra, so you'd do better to nip down to a cafe and grab a cappuccino there.
